These terms cover filevale.com, the Filevale apps for iPhone, iPad and Mac, the Filevale Chrome extensions and the Filevale connector for Claude and ChatGPT (mcp.filevale.com), together "Filevale". Filevale is provided by Synthvale LLC ("Synthvale", "we"). By using Filevale you agree to these terms. How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy.
1. The service
Filevale converts, compresses, edits and creates files on your own device, and its connector helps AI assistants point you to the right Filevale tool, guide or QR code, or prepare a file from text written in the chat. We may change, add or remove tools at any time. Paid features in the apps are described, priced and billed through the App Store.
2. Your files and content
You keep all rights to your files and to the content you give Filevale. Files are processed on your device and are not uploaded to us. You are responsible for having the right to use, convert and share the files and content you process, and for keeping copies of anything important before you change it.
3. Acceptable use
Do not use Filevale to break the law or anyone's rights, to remove protection from files you are not allowed to open, to make QR codes or files that lead to malware, phishing or fraud, or to interfere with, overload or reverse engineer the website or the connector beyond what the law allows.
4. Links made by the connector
Links that open a prepared file work for 24 hours and can be opened by anyone who has them, so share them only with people you trust. QR codes are static and keep working without Filevale; check that a code scans and points where you expect before you print or share it.
5. No warranty
Filevale is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including that results will be accurate, complete or fit for a particular purpose, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Conversions can change layout, quality or metadata; check results before relying on them.
6. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Synthvale is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits or revenue, arising from your use of Filevale. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Filevale in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50 if you paid nothing. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
7. Third-party services
Using Filevale through Claude, ChatGPT, the App Store or Chrome is also subject to those providers' own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use Filevale after a change means you accept the updated terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your country of residence gives you rights that cannot be waived.

Do I have to pay to use Filevale?
The tools on filevale.com and the connector have no charge and no account. Some features in the apps are paid; their prices are shown and billed in the App Store.
Who owns the files I convert?
You do. Filevale processes files on your device and does not upload them, and we claim no rights to your files or content.
How long do connector file links work?
24 hours. After that the encrypted copy is deleted automatically and the link stops working.
