How do I extract the audio from a video as MP3?

Use MP4 to MP3, or Video to MP3 for MOV, WebM, MKV and AVI files. The audio track is saved as MP3 at up to 192 kbps; MP4 to MP3 can also save M4A, WAV, FLAC or OGG.

How much smaller does Compress Video make a file?

Compress Video re-encodes the video as H.264 MP4 at up to 1280p. How much smaller it gets depends on the original resolution, length and content; long videos are best compressed on a computer.

Why is video conversion slow on my phone?

FFmpeg runs inside your browser, so the speed depends on your device: a laptop or desktop is much faster than a phone. Keep the tab open until the conversion finishes.

Can I convert WhatsApp or Telegram voice notes to MP3?

Yes. Opus to MP3 converts .opus and .ogg voice notes, and M4A to MP3 handles iPhone voice memos.

Which audio formats are supported?

Audio Converter writes MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC, AIFF, CAF and OGG, and also reads Opus, AC-3, AU and WMA files. Audio to FLAC turns WAV, AIFF and CAF into lossless FLAC, about half the size of WAV.
